After thirteen years as a successful NYC pro musician, Andy Stack was ready for a change. He and his new wife Tania Elizabeth (of the Avett Brothers and The Duhks) rented out a house in Hudson, NY on a whim and quickly fell in love with the rich culture and talent-filled community.
One night at Levon Helm’s Barn they heard Lee Falco, Brandon Morrison and Connor Kennedy tearing it up, and the 5 became fast friends. Over the course of 8 months they’ve created a band and an album that elevates every person in the band with its’ synergy of experience and youthful energy.
…It’s a far twang from “My Old Kentucky Home” or “Foggy Mountain Breakdown”. Fragmented and dissonant, full of fragile melody and tensile strength, this music, played by Andy Stack, evokes the cracked-glass lyricism…
“sounds like Bob Dylan with a real sweet voice”
A young veteran in the session scene in NYC, Andy has toured and or recorded for NY ska-jazz Ensemble, Jonah Smith, Les-Nubians, Suzanne Vega, Duncan Sheik, Gabriel Kahane, and many others.
A Must See!!!
