Join us during Stroudfest at our booth in Courthouse Square right next to the stage to enjoy some great music and delicious food! This year’s performers include: Leaders of the Shift, Dirty Grass Players and Chris Ross and the North, who will also be playing back at the Grill for the night!!
Leaders of The Shift (formerly theSHIFT) are regular SSG performers. Individually, the band members are highly sought-after musicians who’ve recorded and toured the world with music royalty. Together, John Shannon (vocals/guitar), MJ Lambert (drums) and Ben Geis (bass) craft earth-shattering, anthemic rock with vibrant depth and a forceful punch. They’ll be on the SSG stage Friday Night, and will perform first on the Courthouse Square Stage for Stroudfest!
Dirty Grass Players hail from the Baltimore, MD area, and play festivals and shows throughout Maryland, DC, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. In their music, you can hear the influences of traditional bluegrass like Flatt and Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Del McCoury band, as well as some heavier newgrass like Tony Rice, Infamous String Dusters, and Travelin McCourys. They also have some music that includes jazz style improvisation as well as some group improvisation similar to the Grateful Dead or Railroad Earth. Check out the video for a sample of their sound!
Chris Ross and the North make the trip to Stroudsburg from Maine every now and again, and have definitely become one of our house favorites! This four-piece band mixes Americana/country/blues vibes with deep rooted and poetic lyrics. Check out the video below, and you’ll understand why we love them! And then join us at SSG later on when they take the stage at 10!
